This weekend the "Dinner Table" was especially active with information and pictures of my sister-in-law Gemma's visit to America!
(Some background info: my husband and his family is originally from England and have all moved to America except for his oldest brother Joe whose family a lot of us never get to see! So I had never met any of them until Gemma came to visit America for her sister's birthday without her husband or kids.)
It was so exciting to use that Facebook group to make plans and to share pictures of our adventures with her family still back in England. I'm so thankful for social media and how it helps connect family members who are far away. We may not be together in person all the time, and someday I'll formally meet the rest of Joe and Gemma's family, but for now thank goodness for media that helps us all keep in touch!
That is so cool and smart to have a private facebook group! I have honestly never thought of that, but that is totally a great way to stay connected! And I even love the group name, because the best conversations really do happen around the dinner table! :)
